The 2.5GT has 224 horsepower, the WRX has 265, and the WRX STI has 305. A manual transmission is standard on most models and comes with a hill-holder clutch. An automatic with manual-shift capability is standard on the 2.5GT and optional on the 2.5i and Outback Sport. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. The Outback Sport has a raised suspension, while the 2.5GT and WRX get a sport suspension, hood scoop, and automatic climate control. WRX STI has a performance suspension and unique trim. A navigation system is available on the 2.5i Premium, WRX, and STI, and versions so equipped include a new wireless cell-phone link. A Special Edition package for the 2.5i Premium includes heated front seats and a sunroof. This report is based on evaluations of the 2010 Subaru Impreza.
